A little bit about me

Until I was 13 years old, I thought I had my entire life figured out. I would go to school to be a pastry chef before opening my own bakery called Maggieloo’s. I had the sketches and everything. This all changed when my dad bought a camera for our big family adventure out west in 2012. Periodically, I snuck the camera from him and taught myself how to use it through lots of trial and error and Google, of course.

When I was 16, three days after I got my license I drove my dad’s Ford F150 to a farm an hour away and did my very first “official” shoot, an engagement session. From there it progressed into something that I quickly realized I wanted to one day be a career. And, as my momma wants me to say, the rest is history.

A little more about me… my family is my everything. I am the oldest of 3 girls and, although I drive them insane by constantly borrowing their clothing, at the end of the day, they are my bestest friends. My parents are both teachers and the greatest people that I know. We’ve been through a lot, but they never stopped giving us all of the love in the world and tricking us into thinking that cleaning the floors was SO much fun. Don’t worry, we’ve learned now.

My love of nature and exploring fuels my never-ending case of the travel bug. Google Flights is visited weekly just to see the places I could visit if I had endless funds. The tulip fields in the Netherlands is high on my list so if anyone out there wants to shoot, I’m in.

My goal is to capture the little bits of happy in everyone's lives, in the most genuine and candid way. From the happy tears of a bride on her wedding day to the giggles of a couple playing tag in the middle of a field in the pitch black, these moments never fail to bring me endless amounts of joy.

Above all, I want the world to see a little glimpse of YOU through the photographs.

I can’t wait to hear from you.

Maggie
